This week in maths, the children have been exploring multiplication. They have built arrays as well as constructed ‘factor bugs’ to find all the factors of a number.
This week in P.E, the children warmed-up with a game of ‘Tag.’ They were then put into two teams and were challenged with making ‘side passes’ to score a try!
In P.E, Year 4 are learning the basic skills of Tag Rugby. This week, they learnt how to throw a ball to one another using a side-pass.
This week in maths, Year 4 have been using the formal written method to solve addition problems which include regrouping. They have used dienes to make it, then draw it and finally write it.
This week, Year 4 took part in a science experiment to observe the effects of sugary drinks on your teeth. They put eggs in jars filled with different liquids such as coke and lemonade. After five days of observing, they noticed the eggs had changed colour and were very brittle.
This week, Year 4 started their new art unit called, ‘Movement.’ They looked at how using different brush strokes make a picture appear to be moving. They then explored using this technique using a variety of colours.
